Hello and welcome! If you have followed me for a while, you probably have noticed that I don’t scrap in chronological order or even current stuff usually. Often for a Stories by the Month Kit I’ll pull from last year’s photos because when I am creating the layout, we aren’t very far into the theme month. This kit however, made me realize that even in just a mere two weeks, lots can happen!
Pictured above is the Ali Edwards June themed Stories by the Month (digital) Kit. The colors totally got me in the mood for summer and as I started scrolling through my photos, realized just how many outings, happenings, and conversations had happened in the first half of June.
I quickly resized the height of my photos in Photoshop to all match. Being this is a 6×8″ layout, I sized them to a little under 2″ tall. I assembled two rows of photos and added my journaling in between. The title is from one of the kit’s journaling cards, just enlarged, and some text below the line erased. “June Stuff” was one of the chipboard elements which I added, being careful to place a photo with some white space underneath.
I myself often focus on the details in my scrapping, so this project was a fun challenge to step back and see the bigger picture! If you’re like me, I challenge you to try the same! As always thank you for stopping by and checking out my layout! And if you love the June themed kit as much as I do, get a closer look over on Ali’s site!
