Did Someone Say Brunch?

My favorite meal, brunch!  Although I usually don’t get to celebrate it much other than the weekend, it’s still my favorite.  Brunch outings mean friends or the hubby at a new eatery and then likely some type of photo fun afterwards.  I was ecstatic over this new Kelly Purkey Shop July kit:  Breakfast Favorites.  It will surely be used over and over again.

I started with a Traveler’s Notebook page from the Bookworm kit.  Loved the script “reading” on this page and began thinking about how I was pouring over the menu while we were at this spot.  I used the Brooklyn alphabet stamp set to add “the menu” to my title and “brunch” from the Breakfast Favorites kit stamp.  That Brooklyn stamp set is the perfect size and font to add details to any occasion layout.

I’ve seen Kelly stack her stamps in various colors and wanted to create a tiny collage in this same style.  Stacking the different phrases with a couple images surrounding them made for the perfect topper to my photos on the right hand side of the layout.  All these stamps were from the Breakfast Favorites stamp.  I colored the images in with colored pencils and voila!

And finally I added a pop of color with the yellow alpha stickers alongside my square photos.  These are included in the July Traveler’s Notebook Kit: Bookworm.  I’d pretty much buy that kit just for the cute icon stickers.  “Meh” in a speech bubble?  Gah!  Check it out and see what I mean!
