I knew I wanted to document this evening spent with some of my closest friends at my local yoga studio. The night was so much fun – we had an hour and a half long class of yoga while listening to all 80s music, dressed in 80s garb, and wearing fluorescent paint, all while moving under a disco ball and black lights! Ali Edwards’ physical SBTM kit was perfect for it!
I’m not usually one to use horizontal photos, but this is what I had to work with from the night! I thought it would give a completely different look to my standard 3×4 journaling cards by adding a 2×3 photo. Staggering the photos to create balance on the layout worked well. I was able to get some extra journaling in on the bottom halves and even added a stamp offset to the edge. The circle stamp balanced the circle chipboard piece placed diagonally from it.
I’m also not one to use a lot of pink or purple, but these were the colors in my photos. So what’s the complementary color to purple? Green! And oh yeah, my favorite color besides navy is teal. One of the teal 4×6 cards from the kit had a saying on it, but I wasn’t going to use it so I cut it down to a 3×4 and covered the saying with a white piece of cardstock for journaling. Maybe that’s why I have such a hard time throwing anything out…because I can usually make it work!
