Last month when my husband and I were in Upstate New York visiting family, it was cold, like 2’F cold. Colder than we EVER see here in California. One of our nights there we learned of a planned power outage. I couldn’t imagine what people do in this kind of cold weather with power being out for 9 hours! Answer: Party!I chose the December digital kit by Ali Edwards to document the evening. My husband’s friends planned a party, a “Black Out” party. We stocked up on the essentials: food, games, drinks, and candles. The “Black Out Party” card I used the “Cold” elements circle, turned it red, and added my own text. I then placed it on top of the repeated text “remember this” of the striped card.
I filled out all the details I wanted to remember in number form; sometimes journaling in paragraphs is hard work! And besides, the cute “remembering” card set me up perfectly. I added some green stripe washi tape and a puffy house sticker to the edge of one photo; these were from previous Ali kits.
Otherwise, I kept it pretty simple and focused on the story of the night! Hope you enjoyed reading through my post! And if you’re looking for some fabulous photo paper to print on, check out the 68lb Ultra Pro Satin 4.0 over at Red River Paper Company!
