Last year for my 40th birthday, my friends and I took a road trip to Big Sur for the weekend. But the actual day of my birthday, I took the day off work and headed in to San Francisco with my friend, Kari. We started out the day at my favorite brunch spot, La Note, a French restaurant in Berkeley. From there we had coffee at a new shop and drove to Succulence, a shop filled with and specializing in succulents!
I used two sets from the Kelly Purkey Shop for this layout, “Garden Girl” and “Celebrate”. The cards are from her May kit and come along with the Celebrate stamp set. They paired perfectly for these photos! I punched out a “yay” from a journaling card and attached that directly above my journaling printout. Loved the pairing of pinks and blues, even though I’m not a pink person! Ok, well maybe blush…that hot new color that you’re seeing in fashion these days…a subtle light pink blush. I’ll admit to that 😉
I’m guilty of cutting up stamps. I like to use pieces and portions and then mix and match them. Here I cut the leaf stamp out of the “THIS” stamp and the line under “perfect day” from the “Plant Lady” stamp. Because they’re acrylic you can always place them back together on a block and stamp them as originals.
Thanks for stopping by! As always let me know if you have any questions! You can find all the products I used in this layout here 🙂
